Newjet Dark A4 Paper is a durable and flexible material, prints and dries well, and is cuttable with desktop and professional vinyl cutters for cut contours. The opacity allows for bright, vivid images to be transferred with ease. The colours remain vibrant after washing. This product only works on Black or Dark coloured garments, all excess paper will need to be cut either by hand or vinyl cutter. Note:
There are many different types of inkjet printers on the market, and new ones are being introduced everyday. Not all inks work equally well! While our inkjet paper works in MOST inkjet printers, there is no guarantee that the inks will be colourfast (we recommend using OEM's or pigmented inks when ever possible, as there are many inferior inks on the market). We strongly suggest that you test your inks (wash test) prior to producing multiple transfers to ensure that the ink does not run.

 

HOW TO USE NEWJET DARK A4 PAPER

Note: This paper is designed for application with commercial Heat Transfer Application Machines ONLY
and should be peeled cold. Do not print this paper in any desktop colour laser printer or
laser copier.

PRINTING:
  • Air all sheets on both edges to make sure they are loose.
  • Use the Multi-Function Tray (if applicable).
  • Do not stack more than 10 sheets at a time
  • DO NOT MIRROR YOUR IMAGES. This is a film product that is imaged in an inkjet printer.
  • and then peeled from it’s carrier sheet and applied to garment.
  • Your image will be right reading after application.
  • Make sure you leave 3mm around the outside of the entire image.
  • This boarder will be trimmed off with scissors.
 
PRESSING:
  • Set temperature to 150-170 c.
  • After the PRINTED image is completely dry, trim around the image so that the colour bleeds off the edge. (should not see any white)
  • Holding the paper blue grid side up at any corner, slightly stretch the film at the corner, the film will stretch and the paper will tear.
  • First peel the smaller triangle of paper off the film.
  • Next you can carefully strip the balance of the film from the backing sheet.
  • Position the image face (imaged side) up on the garment. Smooth out the imaged film and place
  • Place a piece of the supplied silicone release paper over the transfer. Make sure the entire image is covered with the release sheet.
  • Note: If you want a glossy look to your image, place the backing sheet (blue grid image) shiny side down on the imaged transfer, rather then the release sheet
  • Apply the heat for 10-12 seconds. Wait for the transfer to be cold to the touch then peel from any corner to the other side.
  • Save the release sheet for additional transfers. It should last for upto 10 transfer sheets.
USE CAUTION AS PAPER WILL BE HOT.
 
WASHING AND DRYING
  • Wait 24 hours before using or washing the garment for the first time.
  • Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
  • Wash inside out on a warm or cold wash.
  • Tumble dry on low setting.
  • Do not use iron on imaged area.
  • Do not dry clean or line dry.

IMPORTANT: Please keep your Newjet Dark paper in a plastic bag until actual use.
This will prevent moisture from forming. Close the bag after each use.
