Note:
There are many different types of inkjet printers on the market, and new ones are being introduced everyday. Not all inks work equally well! While our inkjet paper works in MOST inkjet printers, there is no guarantee that the inks will be colourfast (we recommend using OEM's or pigmented inks when ever possible, as there are many inferior inks on the market). We strongly suggest that you test your inks (wash test) prior to producing multiple transfers to ensure that the ink does not run.

HOW TO USE TRANSJET II A4 PAPER

PRINTING:
  • In print options, select plain paper type and turn the mirror image on or mirror your image with your graphic software.
  • Set the printing mode to Photo Quality in Printer Properties.
  • Print in either 360dpi or 720dpi mode (do not print higher than 720 dpi, as it will not enhance the transfer colour, and it may ultimately cause bleeding due to excessive dye accumulation).
  • After printing, allow the transfer to dry thoroughly for approximately 45 to 60 minutes.

PRESSING:
  • Set temperature to 177-190 c.
  • Set at medium pressure (approx. 40psi)
  • Cut the image out and leave a 3mm border. For items such as mouse pads and coasters, there is no need for cutting.
  • Press for 12-16 seconds
  • Peel off the transfer paper immediately.
  • Pressing with a Home Iron.
Note: Allow the ink / image to dry for approximately 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Set the iron to the hottest temperature. Do not add water to the iron. When ironing onto a T-Shirt, double fold the shirt so that the image area is facing upward. Iron the area for a few seconds, without the transfer paper, over a hard surface - not an ironing board. We recommend a pillow case on top of a hard, smooth non-porous surface.
  • Place the image face down onto the fabric. Iron the back of the image for a few seconds and let cool for about 10 seconds.
  • Then re- iron starting from the perimeter of the image. Start at the lower left hand corner and moving upward along the side to the top left corner. Next, iron the top centre of the image moving slowly to the bottom centre of the image. Continue very slowly using a medium to high pressure until you have completely traced the image.
  • This entire process should take about 70 seconds for a 20x25cm image surface. Follow up by ironing the whole image quickly, heating all of the transfer paper again for approximately 10-13 seconds.
  • Immediately after the ironing process, peel the transfer starting at a corner.
USE CAUTION AS PAPER WILL BE HOT.

WASHING AND DRYING
  • Wait 24 hours before using or washing the garment for the first time.
  • Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
  • Wash inside out on a warm or cold wash.
  • Tumble dry on low setting.
  • Do not use iron on imaged area.
  • Do not dry clean or line dry.

IMPORTANT: Please keep your Transjet II paper in a plastic bag until actual use.
This will prevent moisture from forming. Close the bag after each use.
